Flyboy TOP GUN music video - December 3, 2006

Shot a music video today, guest-bugging for US Navy pilot / musician Idaho, for his song "Top Gun". Shot in front of a fighter plane on an old Navy airbase in Weymouth, MA.

lofty music with Mary Fahl and Jordan McLean - November 10, 2006

Had a wonderful night performing as DAGMAR 2 at the Renaissant Art Salon in Soho tonight. Special guests included contralto Mary Fahl (formerly of the October Project) and trumpeter Jordan McLean (of Brooklyn's own Antibalas). Wow. Many thanks to Stephanie Dodd and Warren Sulatycky for having us and for nurturing a community for salon performances in New York City.

kickin' it w/ Chinatown bad boys The Notorious MSG! - November 9, 2006

Went down to the Chinatown hood to lay down some fresh soprano additional vox on the track "The Last Showdown" for the original Chinatown bad boys The Notorious MSG. Look for it on their new CD "Hard Money" which comes out in December. Special thanks to Down Lo-Mein for adding me to the mix.

Dagmar music video - August 3, 2006

We're hard at work on Dagmar's "I, I, I" music video in the blazing heat. Bert of East Coast Aliens in Greenpoint shot some amazing images last week that blew our minds. I said, "I'd like to appear as a larva in the opening" and he said "yes, we can do that". I like him.

Titanic - March 28, 2006

I was just cast as Alice Beane in TITANIC at the Media Theatre, directed by Jesse Cline, running May 3 - May 28th.

An understudy will go on for me May 11th, so the late nite Dagmar show at Mo Pitkins House of Satisfaction is still on -- hope to see you there!

Aspects of Aspects of Love - February 1, 2006

Just a few words...

This is an elegant show framed by an artful, abstract set, evocative lighting and a chamber ensemble orchestra on the stage. Thank you Jesse Cline and the Media Theatre for producing this mature, rarely-done piece and affording me the opportunity to play such a juicy role.

I am amazed and overwhelmed by the positive response I have gotten when people hear of this production. I was back in the city at Colony Records yesterday and overheard someone calling in requesting sheet music for "Love Changes Everything". I then had a great exchange with one of the guys who worked there who loved the show and had attended both the London and NY production closings. He put on the London cast recording as I was leaving and gave me a thumbs up. Very sweet.

CAST: Michael Deleget (Alex), Mary Mossberg (Rose), Michael Scott (George),
Meghan McGeary (Giulietta), Jennifer Bissel (Jenny), Dan Stanton (Marcel)
Ensemble: Ron Remke, David Wahrmund, Wade Elkins, Nolan Johnson, Michael Harrah, Amanda Brizzi, Julie Czarnecki, Sarah Hutchison, Kimberly Valde

"If I could hear the music I heard then, I'd never let it fade away again...."

Dagmar Greenpoint sessions & A Christmas Carol - October 10, 2005

Thanks to all who came out to the Galapagos show -- we had a great night which also featured the talents of NYPQ and LouderArts. Jim's son Lewis' band, JOHNNY DIVINE, opened with a set and rocked the house.

The DAGMAR "Door No. 1" band recordings in Greenpoint have begun. I'm honored to be associated with these incredible musicians.

In other news, I was recently cast as Mrs. Cratchit in "A Christmas Carol" at the Lucille Lortel.

That's all for now.

Long time coming - April 27, 2005

Hi, everyone!

This website has been a long time coming. Thanks to the good people at Hostbaby.com, I'm up and running.

For those of you who don't know, "The Showgirl of 52nd Street" (music by John Kroner, book & lyrics by Charles Leipart) which was scheduled to run at the Theatre at St. Clement's this month has been cancelled. We all loved the show and hope to see a future incarnation in the works soon.

I've been hard at work in preparations for the first live performance of DAGMAR...read all about it on my Calendar and check out clips on the Music page...very exciting new music from Jim Bauer.

Thanks for stopping by. Please check in again soon -- more to come.

Best,
Meghan
