I am one of the subjects of this special photography / narrative exhibit, running November 20 - 21st as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Peter Wang, photographer, and Abra Vegter, writer, are the artists who approached me in Grand Central Station one day, and then later interviewed and photographed me in Davis Square, Somerville, MA.
The reception is free and open to the public, from 6 - 10 PM. I'll be one of four musicians performing that evening. Here is their description of the work:
"Underground Entrepreneurs is a unique journalistic photography exhibit of New York's street musicians, interweaved with intimate narratives of their passion and hope. This exhibit is the result of five months' of effort photographing, interviewing and filming.
The raw imagery and intense details artistically portray these individuals as not only artists, but also the invisible entrepreneurs that exist among us. Selected musicians will perform throughout the exhibit to accompany the photography. Viewers will walk away with a new perspective on street musicians, inspiration to pursue their own passion, and a renewed understanding of entrepreneurship."

Culturemart offers us a testing ground for: GLOSSOLALIA, 8 Pataphysical Questions from THE BLUE FLOWER featuring babblespeak maestro Jim Bauer and myself as Hannah, Frau Mesmer and a host of other characters.
The program is staged as a four-dimensional collage of chance, language, tex, music, noise, silence, history, story-telling and visual imagery, both still and moving, mirroring the intense interest in collage work immediately following the First World War. Then, as now, the world was broken into pieces. Then, as now, there was a need to reassemble it, to make it whole again.
